Why we like it
Sourcing Portuguese grape variety Touriga Nacional from little old Donnybrook and the Malbec from Margaret River. Swan Valley producer and local boy done good Tom Daniel has crafted this belter of a wine. This is a step away from his younger, guzzle now Chouette wines and here he has crafted something more cerebral and multi-faceted.
Whilst these varieties usually slap you in the face like Will Smith at an awards show. This example is more restrained. It’s medium bodied and has lots of dark, dense, fleshy fruit but pleasant mouthfeel. Sanguine, mulberry, violet, with a kiss of oak. This wine would cellar well.
