Why we like it

Where to begin with this big boy? Built in 1875 the Glenglassaugh distillery has been producing Scotch on the North coast of Speyside with “Purity of character” at the forefront of its mind. This 50% alcohol beast is created by ageing the whisky in old Tennessee bourbon barrels (From the George Dickel distillery). Non-chill filtered and no added colourings (unlike some less reputable distilleries).

This is a brilliant gold/amber hue, pineapple, gingerbread and vanilla on the nose. Subtle spiciness and caramel in the mouth with a smoothness that hides its high ABV well.
