Why we like it

Difficult to pronounce, but easy to love. “Xarmant Txakoli” is an exceptional dry white wine from the Basque region of Spain.This is a crisp, citrus driven, mouth filling, lemon sherbert-esque treat from Espanol and we are here for it.

The wine is a blend of varieties each more difficult to pronounce than the last. Hondarrabi Zuri with splashes of Izkiriota, Izkiriota Ttippia and Hondarrabi Zuri Zerratia. Cant pronounce that? Who cares, the wine is bloody deliciousness in a bottle.

The parcels are hand-picked separately and left to cold soak for 24 hours at 10 degrees. Wild yeast fermentation adds texture and interest, as does some time on lees, but it is the seafood-loving cool acid-jazz citrus tang that you will bring you back for a second bottle. Get around it friends, its mega good fun!
